Outlander is book one in a series by Diana Gabaldon, and one of my favourite books of all time. It's about an English woman, Claire, who goes on second holiday with her husband, to Scotland. Here, she disappears through a stone circle and ends up in 1743 Scotland. Trying to get back to her own time, she meets James Alexander Malcolm Mckenzie Fraser, or 'Jamie'.Depicted above are Claire and Jamie.
