This weekend, I experienced something completely new. For the first time in, well, since I started University, I felt like a true student. How come, you might ask? Why not before? Well, of course I've felt the stress of being a student, but not the whole package.
I had a movie night with two of my friends at my home and I experienced what it is like to be a student.
So, we came home from going out at 9 pm. Very early, indeed, so I popped in one of my newly bought dvds. And then another. And another. We got tired so we ate, crisps, chocolate, cookies, and drank tea, then another film. Oh dear it is 4.30 am, ohhh dear! Thats when I went to bed. Woke a couple hours later with a splitting headache, feeling like I had a hangover. Impossible of course, cause I hadn't been drinking. Still. Owww. My roomies for one night were awake also, one of them making a lot of noise. Shut up!
Looked around my room, it was proof that I am one, a student that is. I found dvds everywhere on the floor, cups and sugarbowls and chocolate and beercans on the chairs and tables. Just mess all over. Food all over the place. Cookies too.
Got up and took some aspirin, then got into my comfy chair and cuddled into my blanket. Muuuh I want to sleep more. Not happening, had to get dressed. I dumped my clothes into the washingmachine because they smelled like cigaret smoke from the restaurant we had been to the night before. Also smelled like garlic. Hm. Wonder if I smelled that bad?
Urgh, urgh. Temporary roomie cleaned up my place, thank youuuu. Then they all left, at 4 pm. Quiet, thank you. Feel better now. That's it. I've been a student and lived through it. Tadaaa!
I am yours truly,
Maartje aka 'The Student'
