Bring Some Sunshine To The TCT

The Fratellis are hoping to make a difference for teenagers with cancer by donating the proceeds of their new single, “Look Out Sunshine” to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Profits made from the track, which will hit the shelves this Monday 18th August, will go towards the £350,000 needed for a new Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Yorkhill, Glasgow.

Jon, Baz and Mince, became involved with the charity earlier this year when they played at TCT’s Royal Albert Hall gig organised by The Who’s, Roger Daltrey. After meeting young patients there and at TCT’s unit at the Beatson in Glasgow, the band decided they wanted to help more.

“Teenage Cancer Trust do such a great job – we really want to help increase the amount of good work they do by adding further units in Scotland.” - Jon

“We’ve met some inspiring young people through TCT and really hope that in a small way we help make their experience with cancer a more positive one.” - Barry

“It’s fantastic news to have such a high profile band such as the Fratellis backing our campaign. We’d like to say a huge thank you for all their support and wish them the best of luck with the release of their new track.” - Simon Davies, Chief Executive of Teenage Cancer Trust.

You can pre-order the CD and 7" vinyl online at HMV and the single is also available as a download from iTunes

If you would like to get involved with fundraising for TCT or make a donation, please contact Jill MacRae or Catriona Stewart on 0141 249 6885 or at The Beacon, 176 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5SG.
