A Very Potter Musical

Harry Potter has always been a phenomenon that moved and brought together a lot of people. I wasn't very into it when the first books came out, but I think that from book three on, I became sort of obsessed. Ordering books, and reading them as soon as my pre-ordered goods hit the doormat, finishing them in a single day and then later regretting having rushed it.

But not only are the books great, their fandom is absolutely fantastic. A lot of creative, slightly odd people come together in this fandom, even after J.K. Rowling finished the last book.

The perfect examples are the Very Potter musicals, a parody on the books by the biggest fans on earth. They are just a bunch of enthusiastic young actors, comedians and musicians, but they have incredible talent. With little funding, if I understand it right, they made a three hour Harry Potter musical and recorded their performances, which became a huge hit on the Internet. They just released the sequel, which appears to be an even bigger success.

To celebrate, I made a painting of actor and musician Darren Criss, who plays Harry in both musicals, and wrote part of the music for the first and all of the music for the second musical.

Of course, I can't leave you without information about the musical, so if you want to watch A Very Potter Musical or A Very Potter Sequel, find StarKidPotter on Youtube.
